If you follow Jesus only because he makes life
easy now, it will look to the world as though you
really love what they love, and Jesus just happens
to provide it for you. But if you suffer with Jesus
in the pathway of love because he is your supreme
treasure, then it will be apparent to the world that
your heart is set on a different fortune than theirs.
This is why Jesus demands that we deny ourselves
and take up our cross and follow him. (In Our Joy, John Piper. P. 22)

Going to Swaziland isn’t the hardest thing to do, but it does bring choices that require sacrifice. This also reminded me of our home visits last year and the concept of “suffering with” that we experienced. The garage sale is coming along nicely - my garage is almost filled and I still have some other things to get yet! All and any are welcome to come on the 20th - 21st to help/hang out!
