I am excited to announce it is time to start planning for our next trip to Swaziland to visit the wonderful kids and Bomake at Ludlati Carepoint!

The travel team is an important part of God’s plan to share love and hope between the community of supporters here and the Ludlati kids, Bomake and surrounding community in Swaziland. Last years trip was amazing and challenging, and every member of last years team saw God’s hand work in so many ways. I am looking forward to seeing His work continue through us this year.

Anyone who is considering or interested in going on the trip or supporting the team and planning efforts is welcome to come to the team meetings.

The Swaziland trip is currently planned for August 20th - 30th, 2011.

The first trip meeting is scheduled for Sunday, January 30th from 4-6PM @ West Side Church (1501 West Park Avenue, Champaign, IL 61821).

We will provide information needed to get everyone started on vaccinations, passports, trip application, travel information, plans for the visit, spiritual preparation, trip costs, airline ticket costs and fund raising. We will also answer questions, and hear thoughts and experiences from the hearts of travel team members who visited and met kids on the last trip in September 2010.

We hope to get through everything in two hours, but we can also spend a little more time after 6PM to answer additional questions.

We look forward to seeing you at the meeting, and our Ludlati neighbor kids, Bomake, and surrounding community are looking forward to the team’s visit in August as well.

This year we have a volunteer named Kim who will be our KnownToMe Travel Team Trip Coordinator. Feel free to email her with any questions or comments at the following address:

Kim at knowntome dot net

We look forward to seeing you there!

We are partnering with Children’s Hopechest for the Children of Ludlati in Swaziland.
Here is their vision.

Vision
Long Term, Holistic, Redemptive Ministry

The vision of Children’s HopeChest is to see orphaned children find restoration and wholeness. We believe that every child should have the opportunity to know God as a Father and a Savior, to experience the blessing of family, and to live independently.

Your church or community can make a long-term commitment to a group of orphans. Through our program, you’ll help meet their entire needs – physical, emotional, social, and spiritual. As they move into adulthood, you will become a key part of redeeming orphans from their circumstances and setting them on the path to wholeness.

We look forward to a day when our ministry is run by former orphans who have assumed leadership roles in their own countries.
