I was born in Southern California. The first church I remember was a Luthuran Church. I was in the choir and took my conformation classes. When I was 14 we moved to Washington state. I Joined the service when I was 19 and served 3 years. I had my first child, a girl, Malisa. I was not a practicing Christian, but I did believe. I married and went to Germany and had my second Child, a girl, Jessica. My Husband was active duty and remained in for a full 20 years. Our marriage only made it 11 years. Things got crazy. He was very abusive and controling. I prayed that God would heal our marriage. I was working in a hospital and a Christian woman was giving birth and a crack Momma was giving birth to her 9 th child. The Christian woman’s baby was born with the cord around it’s neck and the crack baby lie in the nursery and my marriage was crazier than it had ever been. I concluded there was no God. I lived with that and married an atheist for 5 years. My oldest daughter took a gun and shot herself in the head. My whole world changed! 10 days later I had a dream that I was trying to explain something to her that she could not understand. The Number 7 was in the dream but I couldn’t see the number only felt it very strong. I went to work and my supervisor said it was the perfect number. I told her I didn’t believe. Days later I was given a book called embraced by the light. I read it very skeptical and found something I could hold on to. God has an unconditional love for us. This I did understand because I still loved my Daughter even though she had done this horrible thing. I still wasn’t sure about God. I started listening to a radio station and Chuck Swindol was reading the Bible and had started in Genesis and He was in Revelations when I turned him on. He was reading about the seven angels and seven trumpets and seven seals. I knew that God had spoken to me in that dream and told me that he had my daughter with Him. I have been on a journey with the Lord ever since. That was 14 years ago. Now that I know about these children I must do everything I can to be His Hands and Feet! I was led to sponsor 2 children 1 in Uganda and 1 in Guatamala. I want to do more! I want to do everything I can. I want to teach them to sing Jesus loves me! I want to hold them laugh with them and cry with them, feed them and wash their feet! |
