This past summer at a Christ in Youth conference Mackenzie Holmes was given the task to collect 500 coats for kids that need them. She is a native of Mahomet, Illinois and has been working diligently on this task.

In order to help her- all 3 Bella stores are collecting coats ranging from sizes of 6 months to 14-16. Please consider bringing in your gently worn or new coats for boys and girls. The coats will be given to children in the Champaign-Urbana area.  I don’t know the exact dates of the drive, but heard about this recently. (10/06)

I have an older boy coat that is still in great shape. Going to get that out for this coat drive. 

I am not familiar with that store…not enough babies in my life, I guess.

Bella Bambini is near Harvest Bread (behind Biaggis) in a strip mall.  Easy to find if you drive back there and look for it!

Hi everyone - I called the Bella store today to get a deadline for the coat project.  They would like to have the coats by October 31st.  If anyone has a coat that they would like to give, but can’t make it into the store by the end of October, please let us know here on the forum and one of us will pick it up.  Thanks!

The coats are starting to trickle in.  We still have plenty of time to clean out our closets and look around at garage sales for gently used or new coats.  Remember that pick up has been offered if a stop at the Bella store means unloading kids from carseats and all.  Thanks everyone.
