Here are the questions…
In light of the early church historian Tertullian’s description of how unbelievers identified the church and followers of Christ and descriptions of the early church in the book of Acts, compare and contrast the early church with churches you know and see.
I’m going to put a twist on the start of Chapter 8 to apply it to Chapter 7. The author asks us to list the five things that are most important to us. My twist – from an outsider’s perspective, describe what the top five priorities of your church are.
The author states that justice should be at the top of that list. Is it? Why do you think it is/is not?
What really should be most important to us? To the church? Specifics, people… despite the accuracy of the answer; “doing God’s will” is too vague.
