As many of you know, I’ve been blessed to teach at Garden Hill this past school year.  One of our teachers, Wes Miller, has organized a baseball team for kids in the Garden Hills subdivision for the summer.  He started this last summer, and it was a huge success.  They will be playing every Tues. & Thurs. at Garden Hills Park (right by the school).  This is an opportunity for any kid to learn how to play baseball for free.  Would you like to support the Northside Sandlot Baseball Team?  Here are a few options:

1) Tell as many kids as you can about this opportunity.  They are targeting ANY student (K-5) that is interested in playing baseball.
2) Sponsor a child by donating $5 to play for shirts, hats, and/or equipment.  I will collect money and pass it on to Wes.
3) Donate your time or equipment.  Contact Wes @ 841-3105
4) Attend the Fundraiser/Glove Drive at the Iron Post in Urbana (a date to be determined)

Many of these kids don’t get the opportunity to play organized sports, so this is a big deal for them!
