Road Trip To Swaziland

Don's photo

This morning we drove from Johannesburg to Manzini, Swaziland.  The drive reveals a beautiful landscape as we go from relatively flat ground in Jo-burg to foothills to mountains in Swaziland.  The drive is about 5 hours long, but felt like only 1 hour.  Most likely due to the wonder of the land scape, beauty of the people, and excitement of new sites.

We will work out of our hotel in Manzini, and drive about 40 min to Ludlati Carepoint each day.  This evening we went through cultural training, and finalized details of plans and budgets for the week for which we are abundantly supplied (Again, thanks to God, and everyone who gave!).  We are excited to get started at Ludlati, and meet the Gogo’s, D-Team members and kids.  After unpacking what we need from our bags of supplies, we are really ready for some good rest tonight.  Have a good night until tomorrow.

YAY, for Don and his technical abilities that allow us to follow along!  I CAN’T wait to see our neighbor kids and the go-go’s!

So good to hear an update from you guys! Really enjoyed the photos of the beginning of your journey as well as the gorgeous scenery you’ve experienced so far. Will continue to be in prayer for you!

Thanks everyone!  Things are going well.  God is good!  Please pray that we win the Spiritual battles.

The police were out in large numbers yesterday and today.  We did not get stuck in the road blocks today.  We did see some people arrested from our hotel where the leaders of the protest movement were having a peaceful meeting.  Nothing violent occurred at all.  We are safe.

OMGOODNESS!!!!  I can’t WAIT til it is OUR team driving to Swaziland!!!!

Praying for y’all and asking that you pray for the Beveni Team as we finish up preparing for our trip next week.

Salani Kahle!

About - KnownToMe

We have begun to ask ourselves...What would we do if our neighbor was starving right before our eyes? Would we not help? Today, their plight is not hidden from us. It is known. We believe there is a clear mandate that we must care for societies most vulnerable members, the widow, the orphan, those in extreme poverty. If you are stirred to a similar belief, if you know there is more that you must do,
Known To Me will make you aware of specific needs and opportunities to help.
