But the waiting is a very different thing depending on who is doing it. The post behind this link is hard to see and hard to read. But well worth it.

As I focus on children and people living in these conditions, it makes me start to shake. It is hard to take it in. If we want to follow God’s heart and get involved in these situations, it will cause discomfort and risk. Thank God He provides everything we need when we step out in faith to fulfill His commands. It starts with me, then you, then some, then many.
When I think of God as the parent of these kids (He loves them like - or more than) a parent…
Then I really shake. What if I saw one or all of my kids in that state? How would I feel? Really, try to envision and feel that pain. Then imagine well-fed neighbors with immense luxury, unwilling to sacrifice to any significant extent to help. How would you feel about those neighbors?
I’d like to be pleasing to God, not ashamed when I face him. Even if saved by grace without taking action. Standing next to these innocents who suffered so much in my inaction. How could I not be ashamed beyond what I could bear?
We have begun to ask ourselves...What would we do if our neighbor was starving right before our eyes? Would we not help? Today, their plight is not hidden from us. It is known. We believe there is a clear mandate that we must care for societies most vulnerable members, the widow, the orphan, those in extreme poverty. If you are stirred to a similar belief, if you know there is more that you must do,
Known To Me will make you aware of specific needs and opportunities to help.
